The Esan people have a wide range of skills including poetry, writing, singing, dancing, carving, farming, and storytelling (ulogho). One of the common musical instruments among the Esans is “Akpatu” on which most of their folktales are themed with its rhythms. It makes stories educative and entertaining. The people are proud of their culture and ancestral heritage.
